after such a fab day on monday i unfortunately got sick again on tuesday- arrrgghhh! it kicked in around 10am when i just started to ache and ache and ache all over. most strongly in my hips. i swear i'm going to die of arthritis by the time i'm 45. this meant for poor little percy that i wasn't much fun. we played quiet things on the floor at home mostly, thankfully she's completely into reading her books, which is something i could manage. we did make it to the playground for an hour or so in the afternoon, during which, had anyone been observing they would have thought i was her great-grandmother the slow, hobbly way i was moving around! thankfully paul was able to come home just after 4pm and take care of us.
i was in bed about 15 minutes behind percy!
yesterday (wednesday) was much better. i started out pretty cranky and tired but perked up enough to take percy to the playground around 10:15am. she fell asleep in the stroller on the way home at 11am. she transferred to her cot for a little over an hours sleep. poor miss has a runny nose and cough again. (this is just going to be the story of our lives isn't it?) the snot in her throat makes her cough and wakes her up. she was subdued, tho not badly thru the afternoon. we walked up to the shops to check our lotto ticket, with percy walking the whole way! i told her to cross her fingers but we didn't win anything. (i have this theory that if you don't pick your own numbers you don't 'deserve' to win, also i only buy a 'pre-picked', whatever that is called, ticket once or twice a year so my odds must be long indeed.)
upon returning home we were playing with stuffed toys on our bed where the afternoon sun was nicely coming in. she ended up, while lieing along my body, asleep. it was utterly adorable. her head was cradled on my chest, her little fist curled under her chin making her cherub lips pout even more, her legs straddling me, clinging on... shame the idyll was ruined by her breathing like a chainsaw as she tried to get thru the snot. still, i held her and marvelled thru the half hour nap she clearly needed.
once up she had afternoon tea happily, was a bit cranky thru the evening hours, didn't really want any dinner, enjoyed her bath and went promptly to sleep at 6:45pm.
she did wake and scream at 8:30pm but after a short cuddle went back to sleep 'til 7am. i had a great sleep and feel quite well today. got the day to myself again too. better go and enjoy it!
