tax time

i know this is somewhat awful but i have kept almost every receipt for things we have bought in relation to percy. going thru all our receipts for our tax agent i just added them up. gasp! in the last financial year we have spent over $3300 on little miss. yikes! and that doesn't include the expensive things like our independant midwife ($4200- bye-bye baby bonus) percy's cot (bought the previous year), her stroller (bought in paris, didn't keep receipt), all the disposable nappies bought overseas, the increase in groceries, child care fees and those things bought for me during my pregnancy (fat clothes, maternity bras, stretch mark cream, body pillow and most expensively the installation of an air-conditioner.)
i'm even more appreciative now of the free clothes, blankets, toys, play mats and misc other things we were given.
i suppose for bub number two many things won't have to be purchased again... no, i've no news to tell anyone. no bub no.2 for now.

our tax agent has been very good the past couple of years, perhaps she'll wrangle some dollars back from the gov for us again this year.
