paul was able, after working 12 hour days last week, and going into the office for a few hours on saturday, to take friday off work. i also, as you recall, had the week out of the office. after we packed percy off to the mines (oops, day care) we were unencumbered adults for the day!
we almost stopped and stared at each other, doing nothing, thinking nothing, with the novelty of it. almost! what we did instead was have breakfast out at our favourite cafe, see a movie, have lunch out and luxuriate in each other's company. it was a bit of an expensive day but i don't care. the last movie we saw at a cinema was james bond, casino royale- approximately 20 months ago.
