prioir to being laid low with gastroenteritis percy has made some changes on the developmental milestone chart. or she's just growing up and we're responding to that...
1. she now brushes her teeth standing at the sink on a little step, previously she did it in the bath tub. (of course "brushes" is a bit of a generous description- she sucks the toothpaste off the brush, luckily it's a no-flouride hippy organic paste, and chucks a hissy fit if we try to "assist")
2. she dropped using a sleeping bag at night some weeks ago. can't remember when now. which is good because it's too hot for them now anyways.
3. is expanding her vocabulary and understanding- and making us understand her! she sometimes uses three word sentences tho mostly it's one word and signs.
4. is sleeping much better. when she's not sick of course. so we've had about a total of 4 weeks in the past 18 months of sleeping thru the nite without either of us making any visits to her bedroom or cot-side. hopefully as she gets healthier the good sleeping will become the norm!
5. is quite affectionate, asking for cuddles a lot. yippeee! i love this part.
(6. ain't eating much; even when well. oh well, persist, persist, persist. bllrrghhhh.)
7. back to the good stuff... she can climb lots of the equipment at day care and playgrounds. both her fine and gross motor skills seem to be pretty good.
anyways, while she's on her third nap of the day i ought to do some useful things too. nearly all the four sets of sheets she spewed all over are washed and put away again... nearly done.
